Our Mission
To provide professional, impartial education consultancy in Portugal, supporting families in identifying and accessing the right educational pathway at every stage of education.
Our Philosophy
Every child is unique. Every educational pathway is too.
At Alesco, we understand the significant impact education has on a child’s development and a family’s overall wellbeing. We take a structured and thoughtful approach, getting to know each child’s academic profile, social and emotional needs, and future plans, alongside the culture, expectations, and practical realities of schools and education providers.
By combining in depth knowledge of the Portuguese education system with clear, factual guidance, we help families make informed decisions with confidence and clarity.
Who We Are
Alesco is an independent education consultancy based in Portugal, working with local and international families who are relocating, changing schools, or exploring new educational opportunities.
We specialise in Portuguese public schools, private and international schooling, and a wide range of alternative and specialist pathways. Our advice is non commission based and impartial, focused solely on suitability, transparency, and long term outcomes rather than promotion.

Our Background

Naomi Crompton, Founder and Lead Consultant of Alesco, holds an MSc in Developmental Psychology and has over 20 years of experience in education, teaching, and childcare. A former teacher and nanny, she understands first hand the link between a child’s wellbeing and their educational success.
Naomi has worked in liaison with a wide range of schools and preschools across Paris, London, Moscow, Munich, and Beijing. After relocating to Portugal, she identified a clear need for structured, trustworthy education guidance for families navigating unfamiliar systems.
She founded Alesco in 2021 with the aim of offering impartial consultancy services and building a highly qualified team to support families across the Portuguese educational landscape.
